Overview: What We Do.
Lyon College has a long and proud history of prioritizing and supporting international education. It is the mission of the International Education Office to broaden the cultural perspectives of Lyon students by introducing them to the world beyond the United States. The means by which we hope to accomplish this mission is through the creation and support of study abroad opportunities which are actively engaging, accessible, and transformative. Our priorities in designing and implementing study abroad programs are academic rigor and maximum exposure of participants to the people and cultures of their host countries.
At present International Education at Lyon College consists of three components, two already in place and one in the planning stages. These components are study abroad, the Travel Program, and the ESL program.
The Director of International Education is Mr. Joseph Macade, and the office is located on the second floor of the Lyon Building in room 218.
The office is normally open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
Since this is a one-person office and that person frequently interacts with other offices around campus, it is best to email ahead or call for an appointment. The best email address to use is joseph.macade@lyon.edu and the office telephone number is (870) 307-7229.
After hours, please contact security at (870) 307- 7233.
