Lyon College encourages OER use. Any faculty interested in developing an OER course should email one Aidan Sonia-Bolduc for help setting out your needs and the locating, developing, and vetting Open Educational Resources that support your requested content and criteria.
OER Support
The librarians at Lyon College will serve a central support role for all faculty wishing to incorporate OER into a course. Implementation of OER is in the preliminary stages in the Fall of 2019 and seeking faculty willing to adopt OER for use in future semesters. We believe this is the path to alleviating a great deal of financial stress our students face and a worthwhile endeavor. Please reach out to Anna with any questions, comments, or concerns. Anna Leinweber is part of the ArkLink OER Task Force with other academic librarians across Arkansas to further develop a statewide effort to implement OER.
As you can see, the library's skill set and professional values fit hand in hand with Open Educational Resources!
