Like all new technologies, artificial intelligence (AI) will have far reaching affects on our world when adopted en mass. The interactive graph below was created by Queen's College Associate Director of Educational Technologies Rebecca Sweetman as a tool to help you explore and consider the possible negative repercussions of artificial intelligence use, from the effects on our information systems and economy to the environmental cost of AI development and upkeep.
This page is not intended to persuade against AI use completely, but to help our community know what risks AI poses now and in the future so that we can make informed choices about how we interact with this technological revolution. Hopefully, our students, staff, and faculty can do our part to push AI towards a sustainable and equitable future.
