World Religion or Philosophy: Access Computers

This guide will show students the best resources for finding religion or philosophy subjects relating to world views.

How do I print this?

Printing from the Ricoh Printers in the Library

This is the easiest way to print something from the printers in the library.

Any file you print must be a PDF! So remember to save it as a PDF.

Log into your Lyon email account on whichever device you are using.

Attach the PDF to an email, and send that email to studentprints@lyon.edu.

Wait a couple of seconds, for the email to be sent to the printers.

Go to either of the printers and login using your six-digit Lyon ID number.

Now that you're logged in, you should see a pending print job. Click that pending print job, then click print.

There are two printers for student use. One is to the right of the main entrance, next to the vending machine. The other is one floor up and through the doorway to the left of the bound editions of the Batesville Guard, the giant blue books.

Feel free to bookmark, screenshot, or take a picture of this guide for easy reference later!

Save Paper When Printing Websites

Here's a great video on how to print from web sites and quickly edit the garbage out of them so paper is saved.

Trouble Shooting

If you're unable to connect, use these steps to troubleshoot:

  • Double-check that the wireless card is enabled.
  • Make sure you connect to MyResNet, and not some other network.
  • If the webpage doesn't load, check your DNS settings; they should be set to "Obtain DNS server address automatically".

Off-Campus Access

How Do I Login?

When off-campus, if you are a Lyon College student, faculty, or staff member, you can use your Lyon user ID (first.last@lyon.edu) and your password to login when an authentication screen pops up during your use of a library database or other online service. You only have to do this once a session.

Community members who have purchased a card can use the databases in the library building but not remotely.

Having issues logging in?  Clear your cache (CTRL + SHIFT + DEL) and try again.

If you have problems accessing the databases please call Lyon support at: 870-307-7555 or contact support@lyon.edu.
